A tour poster flooded edge to edge in fluoro chartreuse on a visibly fibrous stock whose texture reads through every ink, printed in a flat black and one silver-grey only, the silver carrying all the stipple and all the shading: immense lowercase built from squared-off strokes, the counters and joints drawn as thin hairlines in the ground colour so each letter reads as one white slab set in sharp blackletter stems carrying high-contrast serif terminals, the letters overlapping and interlocking so the word reads as one linked ornament in black across the full width at the top, a city immediately beneath it in condensed grotesk caps filled silver with a hard black keyline and the black sitting a hair off the silver, a thin ruled box structure dividing the lower two-thirds into cells, a wireframe globe wrapped in a heavy chain filling the large central cell in black line with silver stipple shading, a tiny line drawing in a small inset cell at the lower left, Thursday 9 October, doors 9pm, 7 Bold Street L1 4DN, and two lines of very heavy grotesk caps along the foot with the second knocked out of a silver bar. Technical, hard and very sure.
