Inside a skyspace pavilion, one flat field of ochre, flat and absolute fills nine tenths of the frame at full purity and runs off all four edges, the curve of the surface above implied by the faintest value shift alone and a soft bloom of brighter light along the bottom of the field. One oval aperture sits high in the field, flat blue with a clean edge, and a low rim wall runs across the bottom with thirty small dark figures seated along it, each figure a solid dark shape and each one unreadable, with a shallow disc of water on the floor in front of them. the aperture holds the one colour that appears nowhere else in the frame. Clean, the surfaces smooth, the one optical event a soft halo around each lit source Ceremonial and completely still, a room where the only event is a colour.
