A bold two-ink woodcut broadside, electric emerald on hot dusty pink, both inks saturated and set at maximum contrast. The emerald is laid down as massive solid shapes covering as much of the sheet as the paper does: one enormous radiating eye with a coiled snake below it. All the line work is cut out of that solid ink so the pink shows through as the line, fat rays and ribs as thick as the gaps between them, the thinnest still a finger's width. Every ink boundary is eroded and crumbly, breaking into coarse speckle where the ink failed to take, loose flecks thrown across the paper. A short invented latin phrase is carved from the same ink along the bottom in a heavy slab serif, with the same crumbly edge. Archaic, occult and deadpan.
